If you’ve never been to a Buc-ee’s travel center, you may soon have the opportunity to visit the chain as it expands into new areas. The popular convenience store and gas station chain expects to open eight new stores in eight states where Buc-ee’s does not currently exist.
According to Fast Company, openings will last until 2026 to 2027, depending on location. Local media reports in Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin confirmed plans for large-format stores to open during this period.
The stores will be located at:
In January, Huber Heights, Ohio, Mayor Jeff Gore confirmed that the site in the town would open to first responders on April 3, 2026, and then to the public on April 6.
“Their doors will never be closed after this,” Gore wrote.
This ultra-popular chain has gained a following over the past 40 years, largely because of the size of its stores and the products they offer unlike other gas stations. Buc-ee’s is known for its brisket sandwiches, breakfast tacos, croquettes, barbecue, cookies, fudge, pastries, specialty snacks, and Buc-ee’s-branded beverages and snacks, such as sodas, jerky and beaver nuggets (sweet corn crisp snacks).
The chain also touts that it has “the cleanest restrooms in America,” which a 2012 survey ranked as the “cleanest restrooms in America.” Buc-ee’s locations typically feature dozens of gas stations and hundreds of parking spaces. The store is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and does not close on holidays.
Buc-ee’s currently lists 54 locations on its website, but does not list any upcoming locations.
