In the age of social media, fan accounts and influencers have come to dominate in many ways. The Cleveland Browns even gave them some PR work releases during the 2025 NFL season. The 5-12 season didn’t bring much good PR.
Surprisingly, with the AFC North in such disarray, the Browns still had a chance to make the playoffs in late November despite just three wins. While that didn’t happen, Cleveland did prevent the Pittsburgh Steelers from locking up the division title in Week 17 and then defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 18.

While the Steelers ended up clinching the AFC North, getting blown out by the Houston Texans in the wild-card round of the playoffs, the Browns’ loss in Week 17 should cause one of the Pittsburgh fan accounts/influencer types to deactivate their accounts.
As Cleveland’s official account reminds everyone, that didn’t happen and “Pickensberger” lives on:
Not only does the account continue to exist, but the user has not changed his username despite WR George Pickens being traded to the Dallas Cowboys last offseason.
