Broncos met 4 defensive linemen at NFL combine, including a 1st-round prospect

With John Franklin-Myers expected to leave next week during NFL free agency, the Denver Broncos are doing their homework on defensive linemen in this year’s NFL Draft.

The Broncos met with at least three interior defensive linemen, including a first-round pick, and an edge defender at the NFL combine last month. The most notable of these players is Florida State’s Caleb Banks.

Banks (6-feet, 330 pounds) ran the 40-yard dash in 5.04 seconds and the 10-yard split in 1.76 seconds at the combine, impressive times for a player of his size. Banks totaled 4.5 sacks in 12 games with the Gators in 2024 before missing most of the 2025 season due to injury. He could be the Denver Nuggets’ No. 30 pick, although some mock drafts now have him higher than that.

The Broncos also met with second-day picks Christian Miller and Tim Keenan, as well as late-round edge linebacker Logan Farno.

Broncos meet DL at NFL combine

The 2026 NFL Draft will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25. After acquiring two compensatory picks, Denver will make nine draft picks this spring.
