Garcia joined the club after finishing his college career in the United States and has spent the past two years at HB Køge. She scored over 30 goals for the Swans.
After bringing Garcia to Brighton, club general manager Zoe Johnson said: “We are delighted to welcome Olivia to the club and are very excited about her potential. She is a promising young forward who has shown strong improvement at this stage of her career and brings qualities that we believe will add real value to our squad.
“We believe a loan spell in Sweden will provide her with an excellent opportunity to continue her development, gain valuable time and experience a different environment before returning to Brighton.
“We will closely monitor her progress at AIK and look forward to seeing her continue to develop and grow as a player.”
Garcia’s signing represents an investment in Brighton & Hove Albion’s future, with the club looking to add depth to their frontline in the long term.
