The fun continues in North Port, Florida, with Ronald Acuña Jr. and a few other Atlanta Braves players taking part in the live BP. The AJC’s Gabe Burns gives an inside look at training camp this week; Acuña stepped in against Chris Sale and the veteran southpaw beat him, knocking him out twice. It’s just another day at work in February, and it doesn’t feel cold hitting the ball when you’re staring down one of the dirtiest arms in the league.
Still, the big picture is encouraging. Acuña recently told MLB.com’s Mark Bowman that he’s fully healthy until 2026 and feels as good as he has in a long time. A few strikeouts in February won’t have much of an impact. What matters is that he’s on the floor, representing the game, and trying to be who the Warriors need when games begin.
