A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a 23-year-old man was stabbed to death in southeast London on New Year’s Eve.
The Metropolitan Police said the teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, will appear at Bromley Local Youth Court at a later date.
Police were called to reports of an assault in Grove Street, Deptford, at around 12:35 GMT on 31 December.
Police added that the victim, John Temitope Onetufo, from Deptford, suffered a stab wound to the chest and was treated but died at the scene.

Police also arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder and an 18-year-old woman on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They have all been released on bail and investigations continue.
