Boston Celtics beat the Dallas Mavericks 110-100 as trades shake up roster (PHOTOS)

After news broke that the Boston Celtics traded Anfernee Simons to the Chicago Bulls big man Nikola Vucevic, the Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 110-100 on the road. That was despite rookie forward Cooper Flagg scoring 36 points.

The Celtics won the field goal battle again, 96-89, and held the Mavericks to 28 percent shooting from beyond the arc (although Boston’s 3-point shooting wasn’t much better, at 33 percent). The Celtics outshot the Dallas Mavericks by shooting 5-for-22 from the free throw line and also lost the rebounding battle 49-47, but strong play from Jaylen Brown (33 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal) and Payton Pritchard (26 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists) won the day for Boston.
