After a poor five-game stretch at Duke, 1-4 and 3-6, the Blue Devils have now won four in a row, and Sunday’s win over Syracuse got them back above .500.
Like the past three wins, this one was solid, with Duke winning 71-51, and on the road. Duke’s offense struggled a bit, but its defense stifled the Orange, holding Syracuse to 17% from three and 34% overall. Syracuse also committed 19 turnovers.

The Blue Devils were once again paced by sophomore star Toby Fournier, who scored 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting (not three-pointers) and grabbed seven rebounds.
Ashlon Jackson and Riley Nelson each scored 11 points. Arianna Robertson scored an incredible 12 points in 16 minutes.
Despite an early slump, Duke is tied for first place in the ACC with a 2-0 record. Next up is Thursday at Boston College in Cameron.
