LFC watch Diomande and Elmara

Jan Diomande is now an established target for Liverpool. The Leipzig winger has enjoyed a breakthrough season in Germany’s top flight and looks destined to move on just a year after joining from Leganes for £18m.

Meanwhile, over at FC Cologne, another teenage talent is busy announcing his debut in the Bundesliga.
Said El Marra A recent call-up to the German national team is a sure bet for a career at the highest level. The 19-year-old, like Diomande, is contracted until 2030 and would require a sizeable bid to get him out of the club.

Leipzig value Diomande at £87m
Liverpool insider Lewis Steele wrote in a report: “RB Leipzig’s Jan Diomande and Cologne’s Said El Marra are both being monitored.”
“Liverpool are drawing up a shortlist of targets.
“Diomande has seven goals and four assists this season and his transfer fee is high.”
Indeed, sources claim that Leipzig will be seeking around £87m in cash if Diomande leaves next summer.
The cost might not be as high for El Mara, who has scored more goals than Diomande this season, but would still spark a bidding war.
Bayern Munich want Diomande to join Liverpool and if that happens they will put pressure on Cologne to sell Elmara to them.
But the Reds could be in line for a blockbuster Bundesliga double deal next summer – a market they know well, having brought in Frimpong, Wirtz and Ekitic from there last summer.
