BILL MAHER: There’s a video that went viral in Maine where an ICE agent takes a picture of this woman’s license plate and she says, why are you taking my information? I think, this was recorded, because they had a line, “Because we have a nice little database, now you are considered a domestic terrorist.”
This is exactly what they do in fascist governments. Whenever you are a protester, you are effectively an enemy of the state and we will arrest you. This is what is happening in Iran right now.
They arrested Don Lemon—.
Audience: Yes!
Someone said “yeah”, fine, I don’t know. I have no idea. (audience groans) It’s not good to arrest him! I don’t know, you know.
Marjorie Taylor Greene: Well, I would say he violated the Face Act. He walked into a church, disrupted their worship, and then compared them to white supremacists in a later interview. That’s not journalism. This is activism. I had an experience with Don Lemon.
BILL MAHER: What, does this warrant an arrest?
Marjorie Taylor Greene: Disrupting worship services and preventing people from worshiping God is a violation of the FACES Act. Under the Biden administration, anti-abortionists have been sentenced to up to 11 years in prison and convicted under the FACE Act for praying in front of abortion clinics.
So I don’t think that’s journalism, that’s not the First Amendment harassing people in the middle of a church. You know, Don Lemon came to my office with the people who organized this Tesla teardown, and we had to call the Capitol Police.
BILL MAHER: Okay, but can we accuse him of being uncool, man?
