In the 49th minute, Lucas Nmecha scored the first goal. However, Patrick Roberts equalized for Birmingham in the 89th minute, sending the game into overtime.

Gernonto caught the eye at times but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
CM: Sean Longstaff – 7/10
He worked hard in the midfield and scored a penalty kick in the shootout.

Tanaka did his best to protect the backline but failed to impress this afternoon.

He fulfills his defensive duties brilliantly and is outstanding in the air.
Memory: Facundo Bonanotte – 5.5/10
Buonanotte was a little sloppy with the ball but never looked like he was going to score.
Lin: Noah Okafor – 6.5/10
He performed well in the final third at times but had to be substituted due to a hamstring problem.

Nmecha was a real problem for opposition defenders and he scored in the 49th minute.
