Bemidji Curling Club to host U.S. Mixed Doubles Championship this week

Jan. 20—BEmidji — Some of the best curlers in the United States are heading to Bemidji this week.

The Bemidji Curling Club will host the 2026 U.S. Curling Mixed Doubles Championship Tuesday through Sunday.

Pool play starts at 7:30 on Tuesday evening. Pool play continues Wednesday through Friday, with games starting at 9 a.m. and the final game at 7:30 p.m. Pool play concludes on Saturday afternoon with the quarterfinals starting at 7:30 p.m. The semifinals and gold medal match will be held on Sunday.

Sixteen teams will compete for the championship. The winner will represent Team USA at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships in Switzerland from April 25 to May 2.

Admission is $10 per day Wednesday through Sunday. Tickets on Tuesday are $5. All event passes are $45.

Mixed doubles is a variation of curling in which each team has only two players: one man and one woman.
