Mamadou Sarr continues to rise through the ranks at Chelsea and while he is not expected to start against Paris Saint-Germain, he has given his thoughts.

Chelsea face Paris Saint-Germain in a Champions League thriller tonight and any Blues wanting to know more about their opponents can ask Mamadou Sarr.

Even in his short career, the young defender has faced off against the Parisians many times and believes he and his young teammates can get the job done over two legs.
“I think we are young but we have a lot of experience. Guys like Reese [James]they won trophies, they won the Champions League, so I think we can do it again,” Sarr said in an exclusive interview with the BBC’s Nizar Kinsella.
“I don’t think it’s about age; I think it’s about mentality and level.”

Liam Rogniol coached Sarr at Strasbourg before joining Chelsea and the defender was very positive about what the manager brought to the table and what he learned from the young coach:

“I was impressed by the way he talked directly to you – you could feel his passion. I fell in love with his system and the way he looked at the game. I think I understand football better because of him,” Sarr concluded.
