Battlefield 6 was hugely popular, reportedly selling over 7 million copies across all platforms. The military shooter, which launched on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X on October 10, is said to have generated $350 million (approximately Rs. 3,077 crore) in revenue since its launch. According to reports, considering the five days since its release, Battlefield 6 sales will be second only to EA Sports FC 26 in 2025 as one of the best-selling games of the year.
Battlefield 6 sales exceed 7 million copies
This is according to data shared with GamesIndustry.biz by market research firm Alinea Analytics. The company estimates that Battlefield 6 sold 7 million units in just five days of release, generating $350 million in total revenue. The five-day sales trail only EA Sports FC 26, another game released by EA this year. The football video game launched on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo platforms on September 26 and reportedly sold 7.7 million copies during the same period.
“Monster Hunter: Wild”, launched earlier this year, and the recently released “Borderlands 4” ranked third and fourth on the sales list, with sales of 6.2 million and 2.3 million copies respectively during the same period.
Alinea’s aggregated data from Steam, Xbox and PlayStation stores shows that more than half of Battlefield 6’s total sales came from Steam – more than 3.5 million copies. “Battlefield” broke Steam player records after its launch, with more than 700,000 simultaneous online players on the platform. The shooter is now one of the most played games in Steam history.
After Steam, PS5 has the largest sales share at 23.7%, followed by Xbox at 19.6%.
EA has yet to release official sales figures. However, the game’s successful release marked the return of the Battlefield series as an FPS juggernaut. EA also shared plans for post-launch updates for the game, including more maps, weapons, and other content.
