From now on, any player who makes his debut for the Youth A team (U19) will have a €6 million release clause included in his contract.
Meanwhile, the release clause will rise to 10 million euros when reserve club Atlético make their debut.
Moreover, if a youth player makes his first-team debut at Barcelona, his release clause will be set at 100 million euros.
If these measures had been put in place earlier, DeRo’s clause would have been €100 million instead of €6 million, which would have prevented PSG from bringing him in in January.
