Now, as Barcelona prepare for their upcoming La Liga clash with Girona, Lewandowski is on the verge of an impressive record.
According to Mundo Deportivo , the experienced striker is just one goal away from equaling the feat achieved by one of the club’s most iconic figures, Ronaldinho.
Currently, Lewandowski has scored 79 goals in 57 appearances in La Liga. If he scores against Girona, he will reach a league record of 58 games, the same number recorded by Ronaldinho during his time at Barcelona.

In fact, he has scored four goals in five games against them. That record alone should be cause for concern for the Montilivi hosts, especially as Barcelona look to secure an important result.
However, there’s an interesting twist to the previous goal. Although Lewandowski scored against Girona, his goals did not always impact the final result.
In the 2023-24 season, widely regarded as the best season in Girona’s history, he scored in both Montjuic and Montilivi, but Barcelona still lost those two games 2-4 and 2-4 respectively.
Things were different the last time the two sides met. Lewandowski’s brace played a decisive role as Barcelona beat Michel’s team 4-1.
In that game, his goal directly decided the outcome of the game, which shows how important his role is when Barcelona needs a striker.
