Auburn baseball infielder Ethan Bingaman was named SEC Freshman of the Week by the league office following the Tigers’ 3-0 win over the weekend.
Heading into Arlington, Bingaman led the Tigers in batting average and on-base percentage by .625 and .700, respectively. He hit two home runs in his last game against Louisville, totaling 800 feet.

For Auburn, Bingaman is now the fifth SEC Freshman of the Week in the past few seasons. That puts the Tigers second in the league in those two seasons.
The Auburn baseball team is off to a great start with a 3-0 record into the weekend and a 6-1 overall record. The Tigers take to the diamond again to face West Georgia on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT to begin a nine-game homestand. This week’s action continues this weekend against a quality Nebraska team that received votes in this week’s USA Today Coaches Poll.
