Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s Valley of Memory Story DLC Revealed, Launch Set for November 18

Ubisoft on Monday fully announced the free update for Assassin’s Creed Phantoms called “Valley of Memories.” The expansion adds new story chapters, new locations and more, and will launch on PC and consoles on November 18th. The DLC marks the second anniversary of Assassin’s Creed Phantoms, which was released in October 2023. The story of “Valley of Memory” takes place in the 9th century Arab oasis city of AlUla.

After confirming the official title of the DLC over the weekend, Ubisoft fully revealed the contents of the free expansion during a livestream on Monday. Valley of Memories is developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and Paris teams, with support from Ubisoft Bucharest, Ubisoft Danang and Ubisoft Montpellier.

Ubisoft said that “Memory Valley” will provide up to six hours of additional content. Players who own Assassin’s Creed Phantoms can get the story expansion for free, which takes place before the final events of the main game.

“Take place before the conclusion of the main adventure, The Valley of Memories begins when Basim learns that his long-lost father may still be alive in AlUla. Basim decides to embark on a journey to see if the rumors are true, only to discover that the AlUla Valley is threatened by a dangerous gang of bandits and that his father is missing,” Ubisoft said in an update on its website.

New features in Memory Valley

The DLC takes place in 9th century AlUla, a valley in the Arabian desert, and players will be able to explore places like the Old City, the Tomb of Hegra, the Fortress of Musa Ibn Musayr, and the Valley of Stones. The expansion will also bring a series of gameplay improvements.

The DLC also brings another parkour update to the game. Players will be able to toggle the new manual jumping ability. Ubisoft has also added a new control scheme to provide a better parkour experience. Side and back pop-ups, later added to the game in a Parkour update, will also be customizable.

Other features include new skill and tool customization, two new difficulty levels, and more.

The Memory Valley update will be released on November 18th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
