Arizona Cardinals hiring former Texas DC Pete Kwiatkowski as DL coach

The Arizona Cardinals will have a new defensive line coach for the second consecutive year. They are hiring former Texas defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski to coach their defensive line, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

He replaces Winston DeLattiboudere, who left after one season to become Michigan State’s defensive line coach, returning to his former college staff. He replaces Derrick LeBlanc, who served as defensive line coach for two seasons.

Kvyatkoki entered the NFL for the first time many years after graduating from college. From 2010 to 2025, he served as defensive coordinator or assistant defensive coordinator at Boise State, Washington State and Texas.

He was Washington’s defensive coordinator when Cardinals safety Bada Baker played in Washington.

He spent the past five years at Texas State, where he also coached outside linebackers.

He last served as Boise State’s defensive line coach from 2006 to 2009 before becoming defensive coordinator.

He played defensive lineman at Boise State.
