Apple has launched three new payment methods for Indian App Store users. New payment options include United Payments Interface (UPI), RuPay and Internet Banking. Prior to this, App Store and even iTunes users could only use credit and debit cards on these two platforms. These payment methods come in handy when you want to purchase apps on the App Store or make in-app purchases. It’s also useful when buying music on iTunes.
The Cupertino tech giant issued a notification to App Store users saying that they can now make payments using UPI, RuPay and net banking. “New ways to pay for the content you love. You can now pay on the App Store using UPI, RuPay Card and Net Banking,” the notification reads. A separate page details how users can set up any new methods. Apple recommends that users use the latest version of iOS, iPadOS or macOS to be able to see these new payment options.
How to add a payment method on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
After installing the latest version of iOS, iPadOS or macOS, users can try the following steps to add new payment options.

Go to set up On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, then tap your Apple ID.

After that, select Payment and shipping options. For security purposes, Apple will ask you to log in again.

To add a new payment method, click Add payment method.

Follow the steps to add UPI, RuPay or net banking details. The payment method below your Apple ID is used to make purchases on the App Store.

Click edit If required, you can reorder or delete the payment method in the upper right corner. Users can maintain multiple payment methods using their Apple ID.
How to add a payment method on Mac
If you’re using macOS, follow these steps:

Open the App Store, click the login button, and click View information.

Next to payment information, click Manage payments. For security reasons, users may be asked to log in again.

Click Add payment method > Add payment method. Follow the steps to add UPI, RuPay or net banking details.
