Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn expressed the same sentiment to the Daily Mail but said he was still trying to get in touch with Joshua.
According to reports, the SUV Joshua was riding in collided with a stationary truck. The exact cause of the crash is not yet known, the BBC reported.
Joshua, 36, is reportedly on holiday in Nigeria. Both his parents were born in Nigeria, and Joshua spent several years of his childhood in the country.
The accident reportedly comes just weeks after Joshua defeated Jake Paul in an eight-round heavyweight bout on Netflix. Joshua knocked Paul out in the sixth round, breaking Paul’s jaw in the process.
