Even as Trae Young prepares to make his debut with the Washington Wizards on Thursday, the team’s other recently acquired star still has a long road ahead in his recovery.
The Wizards announced Thursday hours before their home game against the Utah Jazz that Anthony Davis, who has been sidelined with left ligament damage, will be reevaluated again in two weeks.

Davis was reevaluated Wednesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to a team statement.
“He continues to make progress as expected and has been cleared to begin limited individual on-court basketball activities,” the statement read.
Davis has not played in a game since Jan. 8, when he injured his hand while guarding Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen on a baseline drive.
At the time, the 10-time All-Star big man was playing for the Dallas Mavericks. But the Mavericks traded Davis to the Wizards as part of an eight-player deal before last month’s deadline.
