Anderson Silva: Jake Paul doesn’t get credit credit he deserves

Anderson Silva has nothing but good things to say about Jake Paul.

Silva’s most recent fight was a unanimous decision loss to Jake Paul in the ring in 2022. The two will now share the same card when Silva takes on the gloves against Tyron Woodley, while Paul faces his biggest challenge yet against Anthony Joshua on December 19. The game takes place at the CaSea Center in Miami and will be streamed on Netflix.

Paul faces former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua, and Silva said you can’t help but believe in the “problem child.”

“I have a lot of respect for Jack because he changed the game,” Silva told TMZ Sports. “A lot of people are talking about Jack, and the problem is that a lot of people know it, but lazy people, and people who don’t have the guts to do the same job that Jack does, start talking bad about Jack.

“But the difference between those guys and Jack is that Jack has the guts, goes into the ring and proves himself, works hard every day, helps a lot of boxers make their case and respects the sport. People don’t believe in Jack, but people need to. I respect Jack. He’s a real boxer.”

Paul extended his winning streak to six games with consecutive wins over Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. He was originally scheduled to fight WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis in an exhibition match, but it was later canceled due to legal issues on Davis’ part.
