Eugene, or. (AP) – All five starters scored in double figures as Ohio State beat Oregon 72-62 on Thursday.
Devin Royal had a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double for the Buckeyes (11-4, 3-2 Big 10). Christopher Tilley also scored 14 points. John Mobley Jr. had 13 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. Bruce Thornton had 12 points and 6 rebounds, and Amare Bynum had 10 points and 3 blocks.

This is Thornton’s 16th consecutive game scoring in double figures. He has scored more than 11 points in every game this season.
Nate Butte, who ranks second in the Big 10 with 2.4 blocks per game, had 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks on 5-for-19 shooting for the Ducks (8-1-4). Takai Simpkins scored 12 points. Wei Lin and Kwame Evans Jr. both scored 10 points. Jeremy Lin had 5 assists.
The Buckeyes led 34-29 at the end of the first half, but the Ducks closed the gap to three points before the Buckeyes went on a 21-0 run over the next seven minutes to put the game out of reach.
The Buckeyes outshot the Ducks 34-24 in the paint, shooting 45 percent (24-for-53) from the field to the Ducks’ 33 percent (20-for-61).
