Aggie Hoops squad spreads holiday cheer with gifts and bonding time

It’s been a season of dedication, as the Texas A&M basketball team just tied a program record for most 100 points in a season with five games in a 41-point loss to the East Texas Lions. After the show, the basketball team should have a little time to relax and enjoy some Christmas shopping.

Not only did we see the team debate which gifts should be added to their Christmas lists, but we also witnessed some elite and some not-so-elite gift-wrapping skills. Off-court networking events like this help the team bond and become more in sync with who they are as people. In turn, this can enhance team chemistry and accountability during training, creating a better game-day atmosphere.

Being a student-athlete is tough, and not everyone can make six figures on a NIL deal, so taking a break to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family is a good reset before getting ready for the SEC games in January. They have one more warm-up game to clean up some areas, mainly defense, before the real schedule begins.

Below, you can see the Aggie basketball team in a festive mood as they take a short break before the non-conference finals.

Texas A&M will take on the Prairie View A&M Panthers on Monday, December 29 at 9 pm CT. The game will air on SEC Network+.
