AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming 2025 Results: AEW World Title Match, Women’s Tag Titles, More

Due to technical difficulties, the usual “AEW Dynamite” live coverage is not taking place tonight. Here’s a recap of all the upcoming events for AEW Winter 2025. The show is headlined by AEW World Champion Samoa Joe defending the title against Eddie Kingston and the crowning of the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, as well as two additional matches for the 2025 Continental Classic Golden League.

The show opened with The Furious Babes, Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale facing off against “The Eternals” Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa in the finals of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship. After an intense back-and-forth battle, Harley Cameron hit the Cross Rhodes and Willow Nightingale hit the Gutwrench Powerbomb on Shirakawa to become the inaugural champion. The victory marked Harley Cameron’s first championship in AEW.

In the next match, “The Jungle” Jake Perry replaced the injured Darby Allin and faced AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada in the C2 Golden League. Perry got into a fight with the champion, but Okada dumped him with a Rainmaker for 3 more points, bringing Okada’s score to 6 while Perry remained at 0. After the game, Don Callis tried to get Perry to join the Don Callis family, but was stopped by the Young Bucks and Luchasaurus. This resulted in the Young Bucks accepting Kallis’ challenge. The Bucks will reunite with Kenny Omega to take on three DCF members for $1,000,000 at AEW Holiday Carnival in Manchester.

After Mark Briscoe’s heated brawl with Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta, Executioner Page and Sverve Strickland showed dominance against the powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuya Shibata in a chaotic tornado tag match that took over the arena before the opening bell. Strickland got the pinfall by leveling Shibata with a House Call.

The next match saw former TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher take on Mike Bailey in another Golden League match. Fletcher dominated much of the game, but Bailey’s resilience played a key role, allowing the Barefoot star to catch Fletcher on a curling ball, giving Bailey the first three points of the tournament.

Then, in the main event, AEW World Champion Samoa Joe threw hands, elbows and arms at former Intercontinental Champion Eddie Kingston. Kingston spoke earlier in the night about how he kept falling behind in the world title match and tried his best to fight Joe, but Joe eventually caught him with a Seashell Clutch, forcing him to submit and retain his title.
