The teenager has scored three goals in 12 appearances in Serie A but has made just two league substitute appearances since mid-December, with a muscle injury keeping him out of seven games.

Addai suffered an Achilles tendon injury in practice Wednesday and is expected to end his season. Cuomo confirmed he will need surgery, which will be scheduled in the coming days.

“Como 1907 can confirm that Jaden Addai suffered an Achilles tendon injury in his left leg during training today,” a statement on the club’s website said.
“After clinical and instrumental examination, the diagnosis was confirmed. Surgery will be scheduled within the next few hours.”
