A look at UNC’s football schedule for the next five seasons

North Carolina and 16 other member schools released their full 2026 schedule on Monday.

The Tar Heels will play eight games for the last time after the ACC announced in December that it would move to a nine-game conference schedule and require each program to play at least 10 Final Four games each season. Carolina is one of only five teams in the ACC that will play eight conference games instead of nine.

“The transition to a nine-game conference schedule strengthens our competitive framework, aligns us with other Power Four conferences and provides greater consistency for our student-athletes, coaches and fans,” ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips said in a statement. “This phased approach demonstrates our commitment to fair competition, scheduling flexibility and a top-notch football product for all 17 institutions.”

Here’s a look at UNC’s football schedule for the next five seasons.
