Tatum Paxley remains the “WWE NXT” Women’s North American Champion after defeating Izzi Dame inside a steel cage on Tuesday, live from Paxley’s home state of Texas. However, her next challenger for the gold was revealed at the end of the night, when Blake Monroe suddenly emerged from a trap door on the stage and drugged Paxley through the opening.
Dame was crowned champion before the match even started. She beat Paxley outside the cage when he got down to the ring. Damme hit Paxley over the head with the cage door, then threw her into the cage and retrieved the weapon from under the ring before entering the cage himself.

The women fought back and forth inside the cage, banging each other against the walls and climbing as if to escape from the top of the cage. Paxley climbed to the top rope and instead of knocking Damm down, climbed up to the cage. Dam follows her and they attack each other on top of the cage. Damm smashed Paxley’s face off the steel and then hit a supercombination off the top rope. Damme hits Paxley with a chair and goes for a powerbomb, but Paxley reverses the move, sending Damm into the chair. Paxley knocked Cemetery Drive into a chair for the win.
As Paxley celebrated her victory on the ramp, the trapdoor opened to reveal Monroe, who grabbed her legs and pulled her down. When NXT went off the air, Monroe popped up and captured the North American Women’s Championship, posing with it.
