Controversy was everywhere during Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
A total of 3 goals were disallowed in this game (2 by Bayern Munich, 1 by Leverkusen), two players were sent off, and referee Christian Dingert became the focus of Bayern Munich.

Uli Hoeness, a member of Bayern Munich’s supervisory board, told Bild: “This is the worst performance by a refereeing team that I have ever experienced in a Bundesliga game.”
Max Eberl, a member of the sports committee, was interviewed by Dingert after the game and clarified the decision on Luis Dias, who was sent off for a second yellow card. Specifically, booking a dive a second time is very problematic.
“I just spoke to Dingert and everything was fine, it was a good conversation. He also said the yellow and red card was not a yellow and red card. It was obvious to him that it was a dive, but he has now seen the video and said: this is not a yellow and red card,” Eberl said.
Both teams seemed unhappy with the referee after the final whistle, but all things considered, Bayern Munich were probably happy with just one point when it could have been a lot worse.
