Cleveland Browns set to sign former Texas A&M punter

As the regular season officially begins, NFL teams have begun signing players to reserve/future contracts, a move that ensures players’ rights for the coming year. The deals don’t take effect until the start of next league season but prevent other teams from negotiating with the player in the meantime.

The Cleveland Browns announced on Friday that former Texas A&M standout and current CFL punter Nik Constantinou will sign a future agreement with the organization.

Before arriving at Ajlan, Constantinou developed his skills at PEGS Football Club in his native Australia. He spent four seasons with the Aggies, earning a starting job the following year and eventually becoming a two-time All-SEC selection. He signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft, but he was also selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL Draft and ultimately chose the Canadian route.

In two seasons at Hamilton, Constantinou averaged 47.6 yards per punt in 36 games, with a long of 84 yards. His average improved by nearly a yard from 2024 to 2025, showing stability and growth in the pro ranks. Now, he’ll have a chance to compete for an NFL roster spot in Cleveland.
