The artwork is part of a growing display of postseason energy around the city, with Eagles flags lining light poles and buildings on the skyline glowing green.

Fans say they’re ready for the Eagles to bounce back from their recent losses and make a deep run in the playoffs.

“We’re ready, we’re passionate and we’re going to win,” West Philadelphia’s Tammy Thorpe said.

Others described the atmosphere as electric.

“Energy! Energy is key, baby! This city is on fire!” said Bonnie Williams of Chestnut Hill, New Jersey.

The team’s “Victory Road” bus tour stopped at City Hall on Thursday to gather fans before the big game. Many expressed confidence that the Eagles would emerge victorious.

“Confidence is an understatement. We are the best city in the world. We have the best team. Come on, Birdie!” Williams said.

Tickets for the first playoff game of the season start at $230. Although it’s pricey, fans near and far say it’s worth it.

“Playoffs, who doesn’t want to be in the playoffs? Come on, Birdie!” said Tyrone Burton of South Plainfield, New Jersey. “We’ve been here before, so this is nothing new to us.”

Burton and his partner said they will attend Sunday’s game and plan to be among the first tailgaters.

“We’ll bring the grills. As soon as everything opens up for us to get in, we’ll be here,” he said. “A couple of my friends are 49ers fans, so they should be there as well. So we’ll see how they go.”

Inside the stadium, artist Justin Clement has been busy painting a new mural, continuing his tradition of creating fresh artwork for every Eagles home game.

“I love doing this, I love painting,” he said.

He hopes the mural will add to the fan experience.

“I just want to give the fans an experience, you know what I mean. Something that didn’t exist before and now they can see it for the first time on game day,” he said. “I think the fans are going to be excited. San Francisco coming to town, the playoffs, there’s nothing like it. Home sports in Philadelphia, can’t beat it.”

Kickoff Sunday at 4:30 pm in South Philadelphia.
