According to the White Bear Lake Fire Department, on Saturday, March 21, at approximately 5:25 a.m. local time, firefighters responded to a residential structure fire at a single-family home in the 2100 block of Richard Avenue.

Neighbors reported seeing fire spreading through the roof of the house and noticed there might be someone inside, and crews arrived to find the structure fully ablaze.

Firefighters immediately began extinguishing the blaze and found an adult, three children and a dog inside the home. Unfortunately, the White Bear Lake Fire Department confirmed all fatalities.

“Our hearts break out for everyone involved in this tragedy,” Fire Chief Greg Peterson wrote in a release. “We ask for the opportunity for our community to come together and support each other during this difficult time.”

Shortly after the incident, the NHL confirmed that Pierce had been a writer for NHL.com for the past 10 seasons and a co-host of the event. Badang beauty The podcast featured her dying in the fire along with her three children – Hudson, Kayden and Avery.

“The entire NHL family sends our prayers and deepest condolences to the Pierce family on the passing of Jesse Pierce and her three children,” the NHL said in a statement. “Jesse loved our game and has been a valued member of the NHL.com team for ten years. She will be greatly missed.”

NHL.com editor-in-chief Bill Price also recalled that “Pierce was an absolute pleasure to talk to and work with.”

“The entire NHL.com team is devastated and heartbroken by the loss of Jesse and her children,” he said. “Jessie’s love of family and hockey was reflected in the energy and enthusiasm she brought to our work. She will be deeply missed.”

After graduating from Iowa State University, the late reporter worked for the Minnesota Wild, pursued her dream of becoming an NHL writer, and continued to have her work featured in countless publications, including USA Hockeysports and minnesota hockey magazine.

“Minnesota Wildlife is heartbroken over the tragic loss of Jesse Pierce and her children,” Minnesota Wildlife said in a statement. “Jesse was a kind, compassionate person who cared deeply about her family and those around her. While covering The Wild and the NHL, she served as a dedicated ambassador for hockey games.”
