GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will not play Saturday night against the Green Bay Packers because of a back injury he suffered in last weekend’s loss to the New England Patriots.
The Ravens listed Jackson as one of the inactive players for Saturday’s must-win game. The two-time MVP did not practice all week and was listed as doubtful on the Ravens’ injury report Thursday.

That means both teams are without their starting quarterback. The Packers (9-5-1) announced Friday that they will not play Jordan Love, who has been suffering from a concussion since suffering a helmet-to-helmet hit in the second quarter of a 22-16 overtime loss to Chicago last weekend.
This will be the fourth game Jackson has missed for the Ravens this season. He was injured in the second quarter of the Ravens’ 28-24 loss to New England. Jackson also missed three games earlier this season with a hamstring injury.
Baltimore (7-8) is 1-2 in games without Jackson. On October 26, the Ravens defeated Chicago 30-16. This was the only game that Tyler Huntley started. Tyler Huntley is expected to start in Jackson’s place.
The Packers promoted quarterback Clayton Thune from the practice squad to the active roster for Saturday’s game, so he’s expected to be Malik Willis’ backup. The Packers also promoted tight end Drake Dabney from their practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Green Bay right tackle Zach Tom will miss his second straight game with a knee injury. Packers safety Evan Williams, who did not play against the Bears because of a knee issue, is available for Saturday’s game.
Joining Love and Tom on the Packers’ inactive list are defensive linemen Colin Oliver, Nasir Stackhouse and Balin Sorrell and wide receiver Savion Williams.
Other inactive players for the Ravens include wide receiver Tyrann Wallace, cornerback Keyon Martin, offensive tackle Joseph Noteboom and defensive tackle Aeneas Peebles.
Baltimore’s only path to the playoffs is a win at Green Bay on Saturday, a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Cleveland on Sunday, and a win over the Steelers on Jan. 4 in Pittsburgh.
Green Bay has clinched a playoff spot.
