At least six suspects broke into the home of Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons while he was in California on Sunday night during the Titans’ 37-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Police said the suspect smashed a window into Simmons’ Nashville-area home just after 7 p.m. Sunday and multiple items were stolen. No one was home during the burglary. The investigation is ongoing. It’s unclear exactly what was stolen.
“Team Security is actively working with the Metro Nashville Police Department to recover items stolen from the home of Jeffrey Simmons. No residents were home during the break-in,” the Titans said in a statement.
Police said Simmons called police about the break-in after returning to Tennessee Monday morning. He also shared a video on his Instagram Story that appeared to show the burglar entering his home.
“God is the greatest and I am His son!!” Simmons wrote. “No matter who you are, just know that he is being condescending and you will get what you deserve, you damn cowards!
“What if my family was in my house? You can have all the materialistic stuff, but it’s crazy!”
Simmons totaled seven tackles and one sack in the Titans’ 13-point loss on Sunday. The 29-year-old was the 19th overall pick by the Titans out of Mississippi in 2019 and currently has 55 tackles and nine sacks this season.

Simmons is the latest professional athlete in the United States to suffer a burglary in recent years. The Cleveland Browns quarterback made his NFL regular-season debut at home last month.
The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback last season on “Monday Night Football” will also be a star at the 2024 Kansas City Chiefs home court. And NBA stars become.
