Recruitment Stories
Hitt, the Wolverines’ highest-rated running back in the modern recruiting era, seemed like a long shot before Tony Alford defected to Ann Arbor from Ohio State. However, the maize and blue lingered on his recruitment for a while, though most thought he would end up elsewhere early in the cycle. Ultimately, Michigan beat out heavyweights like Georgia and Ohio State to acquire Hitt, and he’s been a solid performer ever since.

Outlook for first year
While the Michigan football world awaits whether Haynes Justice will return for his senior year, Hitt will definitely be in the rotation regardless. Whether he’ll be a second or third back in his rookie season remains to be seen, but he should be utilized heavily regardless.
