As the San Francisco 49ers lost 19-17 to the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth quarter of the wild-card round, quarterback Brock Purdy found running back Christian McCaffrey for a 4-yard score.
After the game, Eagles fans complained about left tackle Trent Williams’ performance on the game-winning touchdown, saying he caught Eagles linebacker Nolan Smith, which allowed Purdy to step up and complete the hit.
Williams had a hilarious response to the complaints while speaking to reporters on Wednesday.

“I didn’t see the flag,” Williams said. “If you don’t get pulled over, you don’t get a speeding ticket.”
The 37-year-old, who made his 12th Pro Bowl this year, returned to the lineup against Philadelphia after missing the final game of the regular season with a hamstring injury. A player so honored sometimes gets the benefit of the doubt from referees.
49ers fans were also quick to point out a missed call, which should have been a rough passer or facemask penalty on Nakobe Dean during the game.
Refereeing is a tough job, especially when the game is played live.
