The Miami Dolphins added a much-needed veteran to their offensive line, agreeing to terms with free agent offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald was first to report the news:::
Who is Jamali Salil?
The 6-foot-4, 325-pounder was selected in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The Atlanta, Georgia, native was selected with the 195th overall pick by the Los Angeles Chargers. In four seasons in Los Angeles, Salier started 40 games for the Chargers at left tackle (19 starts) and right guard (21 starts).

In college, Salyer won a college football national championship and was named a second-team All-American in 2021 and an All-SEC selection. Just like his time in Los Angeles, Salyer played all over the Bulldogs’ offensive line, starting 23 games — 20 at left tackle, one at left guard and two at right tackle.
According to Pro Football Focus (take everything they say with a grain of salt), Salyer will finish the 2025 season with a pass-blocking grade of 68.2, a run-blocking grade of 61.5 and an overall grade of 62.2. He had four sacks in 449 offensive snaps.
He’ll likely compete immediately for a spot on Miami’s new offensive line. While linebacker seems the most obvious, his versatility could make things interesting considering all we’ve heard about the competition since Sallee and Hafley’s arrival.
What are the contract details?
While nothing official has been announced yet, this will likely come on the heels of some of Miami’s other notable free agent signings to one-year deals. After all, the Dolphins are in serious financial trouble this year, but if the players can bet on themselves and make plays in Year 1, the chances of snowballing into a bigger deal seem likely.
