2026 NFL Draft video: Is fantasy football dynasty sleeper KC Concepcion the next Julian Edelman?

It’s NFL draft season, and one of the hottest names in the wide receiver prospect pool is KC Concepcion out of Texas A&M. Once the 2026 draft concludes in late April, there will be plenty of fantasy football dynasty draft action. Concepcion would be an interesting sleeper target in a WR class that is considered weak at the top but is relatively deep.

Matt Harmon and Ray Garvin discuss the idea that Concepcion could have a favorable slot machine lineup in the NFL with the former New England Patriots legend on the latest episode of Yahoo Fantasy Predictions.

The name is in the story title – so we don’t really need to laugh at it (laughs).

Still, Gavin compared Concepcion to Edelman, who carved out a very good career in New England under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. The two wideouts have similar frames; KC is slightly larger than Edelman at 5-foot-11 and 196 pounds. Versatility is also an important factor in competition. Concepcion can also do a lot in midfield.

Harmon countered that Concepcion was much faster than Edelman, but Gavin said that had more to do with the role the receiver played than the physical tools. Concepcion didn’t enter the NFL to be the next Ja’Marr Chase and push defenders vertically.

Harmon said Edelman served as the Z-receiver for Belichick and the Patriots on a 12-man roster with two tight ends, and Concepcion fits that mold, and he’s high on the former Aggie. Harmon believes Concepcion could go much higher in the draft than many think.

Yahoo analyst Justin Boone has Concepcion ranked sixth in his dynasty rookie rankings as a WR4 behind Makai Lemon, Carnell Tate and Jordyn Tyson.
