The Miami Dolphins are in full rebuilding mode this offseason. The team has been cleaning up from top to bottom, and we’ve gotten word that the team is making roster cuts to free up salary cap space and start fresh on the roster. We’ve developed a new seven-round mock draft for the Dolphins based on some of these moves and more on the way.
Round 1 – EDGE David Bailey – Texas Tech
With Bradley Chubb out, David Bailey gets a huge boost at edge guard.

Round 2 – CB Keionte Scott – Miami
With no close scoring offensive linemen here, we go with the long, speedy Keonte Scott, who showed huge improvement in 2025.
Round 3 – OT Drew Shelton – Penn State
Shelton will need to find a spot in the NFL, but his versatility and high-level production are attractive.
Round 3 – WR Ted Hurst – Georgia State
Had Hurst played at Georgia instead of Georgia State, he would have been a first-round pick.
Round 3 – QB Trinidad Chambliss – Ole Miss
Miami has to nail down the quarterback position, so we’re making a case for Chambliss’ athleticism here to create some competition on the depth chart.

Fourth Round – OL Matt Gublin – Michigan State
Similar to Shelton, we like Gublin to have double-digit starts at all three spots along the interior offensive line and to be a good run-blocker.
Round 5 – TE Tanner Koziol – Houston
Huge receiving threat, but declined as he didn’t provide much help in the run game.
Round 7 – S Xavier Nwankpa – Iowa State
By the time the draft comes around, Nwankpa will be further along at the plate, but for now, we’ll take him as a value option at free safety.
