Two shootings were reported at the same time in Seattle on Wednesday. One person was reportedly shot while driving on Interstate 5, and another was taken to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound.

Around 11:40 a.m., a person was taken to Harborview Medical Center with a gunshot wound. Meanwhile, near Denny and Fairview, another person reported they were shot inside a vehicle while driving on Interstate 5.

Police noted that the person who was taken to the hospital has been uncooperative with Seattle Police Department (SPD) officers.

“Right now, we don’t have any information that the two shootings are related, but we have to investigate and determine what happened,” Detective Eric Muñoz of the Social Police Department told KIRO News Radio.

Munoz also revealed that SPD is working with the Washington State Patrol on the scene.

As of this report, a suspect has not been identified and the extent of the injuries remains unclear.
