Eberechi Eze gave Arsenal the lead with a brilliant strike on the spin, collecting the ball with his left foot before delivering a beautiful half-volley with his right foot just outside the box. The shot flew into the top corner of the near post, 1-0.

Declan Rice then doubled the Gunners’ lead with a very satisfying goal of his own. The midfielder rose to intercept, brought the ball down and curled it into the corner – also outside the penalty area.
The effect of the shot was very satisfying, the ball curling along the surface and grazing the post as it entered the net.

Arsenal have been accused of “ugly” football at times this season, but there’s no denying that their goal on Tuesday night was beautiful. These nominations are certainly well-deserved and the Arsenal players must be favorites to win the award.
Arsenal have already had one player win the award this season, with Noni Madueke receiving the award for his incredible individual goal away to Club Brugge in December.
