Your 2026 NCAA Tournament Viewing Guide: March 22

Are you ready to see 16 teams punch their ticket to the Sweet 16 today?

With the round of 64 of the women’s basketball tournament coming to a close on Saturday, the men’s and women’s teams will play eight 32-game games today. Even better: The Women’s Championship starts on time with a new game every hour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s a nice balance to the men’s tournament, which is played one game at a time before halftime of the St. John’s/Kansas game. Either way, there’s at least one game left in case something decides to go against us, like it did in the Michigan/St. Louis game with eight minutes left on Saturday afternoon.

An added bonus for the women’s tournament: With no surprises on Friday, that means every game today will be the better-seeded team hosting its opponent. Maryland is in North Carolina, North Carolina is in Michigan, and so on. Men’s games may be fun and neutral in court settings, but they don’t get the added pleasure of someone having an amazing performance on someone else’s surface.

We’ll start at 11 a.m. Central Time today and run until about 12 hours later, with Alabama/Texas Tech on the men’s side and TCU/Washington on the women’s side starting around 9 p.m. and running for about two hours. Is it a long time? Sure, but it’s the last day of the year. Of course, there are eight more women’s matches tomorrow, but there’s nothing better than the past four days until next March.

On the Big East side, we have St. John’s and UConn from the men’s tournament. The Red Storm take on Kansas today at 4:15 PM and we have a Fury matchup with Dan Hurley vs. Mick Cronin when the Huskies take on UCLA at 7:45 PM.
