Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has a huge question mark ahead of their Week 15 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Lamb suffered a severe concussion in a Week 14 loss to the Detroit Lions that caused him to exit the game early.
Lamb’s concussion was horrific as he displayed a “fencing reaction” after hitting the ground hard while trying to catch a ball in the end zone and was immediately ruled out.
As we turn the page to Week 15, here’s what we know about Lamb’s status on Sunday.
Will CeeDee Lamb play in Week 15?
We think Lamb’s chances against the Vikings are slightly better than 50/50.
We’ve seen “fencing reactions” from players who have suffered multiple concussions over the years, but the most high-profile example was Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion in 2022.

Tagovailoa missed two games after that concussion. While Tagovailoa does have a long and horrific history with concussions, that was the first time he had one recorded in the NFL, so his concussion history didn’t really come into play.
On the bright side, both head coach Brian Schottenheimer and executive vice president Stephen Jones said Lamb was making progress early in the week.
“He’s doing a great job. He’s hit all the thresholds he needs to play this week. He hasn’t had any setbacks so far,” Jones explained on 105.3 The Fan on Monday.
Schottenheimer added that Lamb was “doing well and progressing well” in his concussion treatment regimen.

Another thing working in Lamb’s favor is that the Cowboys still have three days left since Lamb suffered a concussion.
Given the positive updates from Schottenheimer and Jones, as well as the extra time for Lamb, it gives us hope that he can suit up for Week 15.
We’ll get the next update on Lamb on Wednesday, when the Cowboys issue their first injury report. Limited practice or more practice would be a good sign, but keep in mind that Lamb must practice full practice before completing the protocol.
