According to reports, WhatsApp is receiving updates and will further expand its multi-device capabilities. According to WABetaInfo, this update now allows non-Beta users to join the multi-device Beta program for future updates. The multi-device function allows users to connect up to four devices in addition to the main device. With the new feature, users will be able to use their WhatsApp account on different devices. However, users can only add non-telephone devices to this feature.

The 2.21.19.9 update of WhatsApp-discovered by the WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo-now allows users of stable instant messaging applications on Android and iOS to join the multi-device feature. WABetaInfo pointed out that the chat application owned by Facebook will now “force users to update to a multi-device version for future updates.”

Multi-device support for WhatsApp was first announced in July. The new features help provide users with an independent multi-device experience, and users don't even need their primary smartphone to be connected to the Internet. In addition, the smartphone can be turned off, and users can still use WhatsApp through non-phone devices linked to it. This may also be beneficial if the Internet connection on the user's primary smartphone is unstable, but their non-mobile device (such as a laptop, desktop, or Wi-Fi-only tablet) has a good Internet connection.
