WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world right now. The Facebook-owned company launched a feature in 2017 that allowed people to delete their messages from WhatsApp. Use this feature to completely delete photos, videos or messages from WhatsApp, which means no one, including you, can see the messages after deletion. However, there is a way to view deleted messages on WhatsApp, which we will cover soon.
If you plan to use this guide to show deleted messages, keep in mind that accessing WhatsApp features that are not officially supported always comes at a cost. In this case, our suggested approach would expose all your notifications (including OTPs and bank balance details) to third-party applications, and we cannot guarantee that this data will remain private. Use this method at your own risk and only if it is absolutely necessary for you to view other people’s deleted WhatsApp messages.
How to view deleted WhatsApp messages
Whenever someone deletes a WhatsApp message, a message will appear in the chat saying “This message has been deleted”. If you are using an Android smartphone, follow the steps below to view deleted messages.
-
After downloading, open the app and complete the setup by granting all the permissions required by the app.
-
After granting the permission, go back to the app and you will now be asked to select the app where you want to save notifications and detect changes. Choose from the list below WhatsApp and click Next.
-
On the next screen click Yes, save the file Then click allow. This will complete the application’s setup and be ready for use.
-
From then on, every notification you receive on WhatsApp, including deleted messages, will appear on the WhatsRemoved+ app. All you need to do is open the app and select WhatsApp from the top bar.
There is no such app on iOS, which is good for protecting your privacy, but bad if you need to view deleted WhatsApp messages.
We found a lot of apps on Google Play, but none of them were better than WhatsRemoved+. This app does its job well but it has too many ads which you can remove if you are willing to pay a one-time fee of Rs. 100.
