The college football regular season is over and the playoffs are just around the corner. Obviously Notre Dame won’t be playing this weekend as an independent, but the impact on some of those games could be huge. The Irish have been in and out of the College Football Playoff in a variety of scenarios due to certain outcomes in the conference championship game.
It’s not really which games matter to Notre Dame’s future, but some games do. The best-case scenario for Notre Dame is wins by Boise State, Georgia, Texas Tech and Virginia. All four teams are favorites, according to Fanduel Sportsbook.

If these four games go Notre Dame’s way (unlike the long string of games over the past three weeks), the Irish’s chances of making the College Football Playoff are pretty good. FanDuel is currently asking a lot from the Irish, who have a -375 YES rating.
