first half
United got off to a good start when Swede Julia Zigiotti’s shot was blocked by the Hammers’ defense after just a minute.

West Ham goalkeeper Kinga Szemik was called into action shortly after, with Elisabeth Terland’s shot forcing a smart save from her.
Jess Park was the next to test the home team’s goalkeeper in the 18th minute, but her shot was dealt with easily enough.
It wasn’t until the 24th minute that West Ham United’s offensive awareness woke up, but Xekira Martinez’s long shot was blocked by Faron Tulis-Joyce.
Manchester United applied pressure before half-time, and Chigiotti almost scored with a shot from inside the penalty area. After a while, Trand’s header was blocked again by the Hammers goalkeeper who was in good condition.

The Red Devils were unable to break through before half-time and they attacked from all fronts at the break.
second half
The second half started slowly, but Lea Schüller nearly scored her first WSL goal in the 57th minute when she headed in a cross from Fridolina Rolfo, but was saved.
Martinez posed the biggest threat to the home team and her shot was once again blocked by Tullis Joyce to keep the clean sheet.
In the 64th minute, West Ham United pushed forward and Vivian Assai’s shot was blocked by Manchester United’s American.
Going into the final 10 minutes, Mark Skinner’s side were looking for a winner, with Melvin Mallard firing wide from a tight angle after Simi Awujo’s flick.

Despite the pressure in the final seconds, United failed to create any more dangerous chances and dropped to third in the league standings.
The Red Devils will hope to return to their winning ways when they face Everton on Saturday lunchtime.
