Quarterback Bryce Young and the rest of the Carolina Panthers won’t take the field for the next four months, but playing in the NFL is a 365-day-a-year commitment.
Fans should take comfort in the fact that their quarterback and his three top receivers are not slacking off this offseason. Here’s a look at Young’s throwing drills with 2025 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette and Jimmy Horn Jr.:
McMillan led the Panthers with 70 receptions, 1,014 receiving yards and seven touchdowns last season. However, the rest of the wide receiver room did little to add to that output — as no other receiver managed more than 394 yards or three touchdowns.

Leggett’s numbers are the most troubling. After an up-and-down rookie season, the 2024 first-round pick managed just 363 yards and three scores — looking worse than his first year in some ways.
Horn was inactive for much of the early part of his rookie season, but when he finally got some targets later on, he impressed. Head coach Dave Canales would be wise to make him more offensive, especially considering Legette’s poor performance.
According to some recent odds, perhaps another pass catcher will join that group after the upcoming draft. . .
