San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle officially announced his commitment to Saturday’s WrestleMania by stealing a beer from the Indiana Pacers star point guard and spotting Brock Purdy’s Tyrese Haliburton.
Between games, the cameras turned their attention to Haliburton, who famously stood up and raised his beer (Editor’s note: I think it’s 805) into the crowd. It looks like he plans to swig his drink in front of the camera. As he went to get a drink, Kittle bumped into the frame and reached over to take the beer from Haliburton. Kittel, ever the showman, began drinking Halliburton’s beer in one gulp.

It’s hard to imagine that Haliburton’s college loyalties (Iowa State) didn’t play at least some role in Kittle’s nonsense.
It is unclear whether this is a work (Editor’s note: Friends who like wrestling told me this means “planned”). Both fighters are wrestling fans, so it’s easy to see how they would come up with something like this. Haliburton, on the other hand, seemed genuinely flustered after Kittle delivered the beer before giving what seemed like a reluctant applause.
Haliburton missed the entire 2025-26 NBA season while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon he suffered in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals last June. Kittle is also recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, and if his rehab goes well, we should see the perpetrator and victim of this hop heist back on the court for their respective teams in the fall.
